The format is the same for all races. Here's the details.

We run single elimination style drag races on a measured 1/4 mile. New for 2002, we will run a second-chance bracket, similar to double eliminations, when time permits. Also, drivers will have the option to run two classes depending on the volume of boats at a given race.

We use a rolling, on-plane start for Inboards and an in-gear, idle start for the Outboards.

We use a Red, Yellow, Green Christmas Tree to start the race, however, there is no timing equipment. The starts are "heads up" and there is no breakout. First one to the finish line is the winner.

We have seven Inboard classes and five Outboard classes. Trophies are awarded at all races, and all of the 2002 races feature cash payouts in all classes except Sportsman classes. There is also a High Points Championship each year with prizes for the winners and runners up. The High Points awards are presented each year at our Awards Banquet which is free to all paid members.

You must be a club member to race, with one-day memberships available at the race. As a member, medical and liability insurance is activated for the race.
